My Monthly Favourites for January 2016!

Hi beauties! 

So is it just me or has this month just flew by?! I mean it was not long ago since new years and we are now heading towards the end of the month! 

Anyway... As it is that time of month again i will be sharing with you all my top picks and which products i have been loving and using alot this past month.

First up is urban decay gwen steffani eyeshadow palette, (i have done a review on this palette so i am not going to go to into it but do check my previous post for a more in-depth review on this palette). 

I love this palette it is a great everyday palette, you have your neutrals, mattes, shimmer and your pops of colour! 

Doll 10 hydra gel foundation- i am totally loving this foundation! I am in the shade medium and love how it matches my skintone perfectly, i like the consistency, the coverage and it wears really well. Also doesn't make me look too shiny around my T zone towards the end of the day, i just can't praise it enough it really is fantastic and keeps me flawless! 

Gerard cosmetics bridgette highlighter- love the glow this gives, can be built up for a full on glow or blended out for a more subtle glow. 

Iced mocha hydra matte liquid lipstick- love this colour!

Makeup Revolution Aqua primer base- i just mist this on to my face before applying my make up and my foundation glides on soo smoothly. Great if you are lazy on applying primer before your base, as you just have to spritz this on to your face and you dont need to bother with applying any other primer.. Unless you want to of course ;) 

Sigma heavenly blush- this blush goes with every makeup look, i love it. 

Tarte Tartiest liner- again i have a post on this liner- it really is amazing. 

Frankie rose concealer- this is definetly my favourite concealer ever, i love the consistency it is very easy to work with and blendable, full coverage and does not cake up. 

Now on to some lip products- 

Mac soar lip liner, 

Dose of colors liquid lipstick stone- currently obssesed with muted mauve tones. 

Plump it- volumising lip plumper. This actually works! I just apply this on to my lips a few minutes before applying my lipstick for a fuller plumper pout! 

That's my monthly picks, will try and do more monthly favourites from now on as i am always trying out and using different products which i end up loving.

New brand focus- Girlactik beauty

Hi beauties! 

So today i have decided to share a post about a new brand i have come across - 'Girlactik Beauty' - a feminine, flirty and luxury makeup brand that is easy to wear and are cruelty free, super pigmented and long- wearing! 

I have been using girlactik beauty products for the last 2 weeks and i have to say i am super impressed with the products especially the liquid matte lipsticks. Now as their are ALOT of liquid matte lipsticks on the market with every brand bringing out thier version of matte liquid lipstciks, i find that getting the formula right can be quite tricky as some tend to crack, dry up your lips and feel super sticky and tacky which is not cute at all!  But i am pleased to say i have not had this problem with girlactik lip products and find the matte liquid lipsticks to be very pigmented, long-wearing lasting a good 6-7 hours and they do not dry up your lips which is a bonus!

Gerard Cosmetics- New product releases

Hi my beauties!!

Firstly a very happy new year and i hope you all are having a great start to 2016!

I hope you all have enjoyed the holidays, i spent most of my time with family and loved ones so i didn't really get a chance to blog or do makeup looks on insta so i can't wait to get back into it. 

So today's post is about some new makeup releases from Gerard cosmetics. Now if you have been following me on insta you will know that i have been using gerard cosmetics for a while now and they just get better and better with every new launch! Starting with lipglosses, brow powder kits to lipsticks, highlighters, hydra matte liquid lipstick and now a liquid eyeliner. The brand only goes from strenght to strenght and i have been lucky enough to try most of thier products. 

Star powder in 'Brigitte' which is described as a "sumptuously delicate champagne pink with subtle undertones of peach for added colour". 

These star powders come in a selection of shades to achieve an array of looks and are such great quality, very pigmented yet so buttery and smooth, blends flawlessly in to the skin and is infused with subtle shimmering particles for optimal luminescent- giving you that lovely glow. I previously own Marylin (true gold)  and lucy (rose gold) highlighters which are amazing!

Moving on to the Hydra matte liquid lipsticks which are beautifully designed lip stains that apply like a liquid, effortlessly supplying a tender coverage that dries to a matte finish and with a specially crafted anti-flake formula, these magical lipsticks refuse to congeal, smudge or fade, making them the perfect beauty essential. I totally love them and have replaced all my normal lipsticks with liquid lipsticks! 

 Top to bottom- Ruby slipper, Gravity and Iced Mocha. 

Included two other matte liquid lipsticks from gerards at the end, which are my favourites! 

Gold bulletts ;) love the lipstick packaging! 

Left-Right- London Fog described as a dusty grey with very slight red undertones, reminiscent of the greatest city in the world's skyline. 

Mystic Moon- A muted mauve with grey undertones and lastly, Sangria - A dark berry purple with delicious grape red undertones.

Doll 10 Beauty- New makeup Products

 

Hi Beauties! 

Hope you guys are well, today's blog post is about my first impressions on some products i recieved from Doll 10 Beauty. 

So to begin with let's start off with a little bit about the brand, Doll 10 is a chic cosmetic line focusing on hi-tech, anti-aging ingredients that claim to keep you trendy & timeless at any age! ;)

Impressed already?! Wait till you see more close up pics but before we get on to that i just wanted to add that this brand to me seems very luxurious from the packaging to the products themselves, it is definetly of great quality and is also clear that alot of attention has been paid to detail. 

First up is this gorgeous blush and contour palette. Contains two blushes, a light and a dark contour shade, one bronzer and a highlighter.

Contouring and highlighting has never been in so much demand and has currrently taken over the make up world, so naturally every brand wants to release thier version of a good contour kit. I do believe this is a very good contour kit the powders are very pigmented, buttery and smooth which is what you want in your contour kit, to be able to blend seamlessly and to enhance your natural features. 

Three stunning gel lip crayons in Pinky swear, Sheer Bliss and Wild Card. 

I was intriqued by these crayons in particular as they are a combination of a lipgloss with the nourishment of a lip balm to create the perfect colour and care for you lips! Amazing! 

I have so far only tried pinky swear and it felt very confortable and not sticky at all. Twist to swivel up, no need to sharpen them! 

I absolutely love the concept behind this 360 Double ended mascara, it comes with an hourglass-shaped brush for lengthening, lifting, defining, and curling upper lashes, plus a micro-detailing brush for precision coverage of the lower lashes. 

Hydra Gel foundation and Conceal-It, an oil-free, full coverage concealer, comes in quite a large size compact and i thought it was a cream foundation at first which i think you could use it as if you wanted. Also comes with a sponge and there is a flap you can close to place the sponge on top which is quite convinient. 

Doll 10 Aqua Gel Liner, a gel liner in a pencil format- perfect for your waterline and tightlining.

Four beautiful wearable shades, glides on smoothly, very pigmented in just one swipe and water-resistent. 

Doll 10 three piece Lip and Cheek set. 

Contains a lipstick - 'First Kiss' (Dusty Rose) 

Lipgloss- 'Smitten' (soft pink shimmer) 

Blusher- 'Kiss on the cheek' (dusty rose) 

I love everything about this set, it's so pretty!! From the packaging to the colour selection and how all three complement one another really well. 

This would also make a brilliant gift! 

Overall i am so impressed with all the products from Doll 10 i am new to the brand and have to say the products and quality is of incredibly high standard, i love the packaging and all the details.

Defa Cosmetics - New makeup Brand

Hi Beauties! 

So i was lucky enough to recieve some lovely goodies from a new makeup line that has just launched. 

Defa cosmetics is an italian company produced in Italy, and thier products have been formulated using only natural and highest quality ingredients. You will also be pleased to know that they are Vegan and cruelty free. 

So without further ado, lets get on to more pictures and swatches! :) 

Left- Silky Translucent Mattifying powder

Liquid Eyeshadows - work brilliantly as an eyeshadow base to really make your eyeshadows pop. 

Left- Naked (has a pearl finish but when blended out its almost clear and neutral so this could be used as a eyeshadow base. 

Right- scarlet 

 Funk and Midnight are liquid lipsticks and red carpet lipgloss. 

Intense black eyeliner pencil, very smooth  and easy to apply.

Tarte's Tarteist eyeliner

Recently i posted on instagram about a new eyeliner i just recieved, which comes with a very fine and precise dual ended eyeliner brush. Now i am a total sucker for intense black eyeliners and just cannot stand glossy liners or anything shiny, when it comes to eyeliners they have to be matte. 

Not to mention i am a hugeee Tarte cosmetics fan thier products are just always amazing that come with very pretty packaging. So after hearing such great reviews and tutorials from makeup gurus including Huda Beauty i knew i just had to try this out for myself. 

So the product itself is a revolutionary, first ever squeezable cream liner with a unique blending tip inspired by the ease of an artist’s palette.

This product also claims to have a no-tug, dreamy application that’s as simple as squeeze, line and define. The unique formula features fewer waxes, cushioned pigments and a special development process unlike other traditional liners, allowing for the creamiest texture and smoothest application ever. Sounds impressive huh?!
