Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette

So this palette does not even need a introduction now does it?!
The most anticipated palette of the year from urban decay since news broke that they have collaborated with Gwen steffani to bring out a beautiful eyeshadow palette.
If you dont know who Gwen Steffani is you must be living under a rock, she was the lead singer in a band called 'No Doubt' who were very popular back in the 90's, she then went on to become a successful solo singer.

Gwen's makeup style is very much neutral eyes with a classic winged liner but she always has that statement Red lip that looks amazing!

This palette tends to have alot of neutral tones which makes it an ideal everyday palette consisting of five matte shades which is great for your crease/transition, and also contains your pops of colour which again is nice when you want to switch up your looks every now and then to a smokey eye.

Now let's talk about the packaging, i absoulutely love the packaging from the design on the box, to the colour selection of white, gold and black - very chic and sophisticated. The palette itself is very sturdy and great quality, travel-friendly and has a nice big mirror which is a bonus as i do like my palettes to have mirrors, it just makes life easier!

This palette gets released here in the UK nationwide on the 3rd of December which is only a couple of days away. This is Limited Edition so if you want to get your hands on it you will have to act fast as i think this will definetly sell out in no time!
Retails at £40.00

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick sets - Holiday 2015

I love this time of year when you see all the amazing brands bring out thier limited edition holiday sets. Now if you have been following me on instagram (@simmysbeauty) you will know my love for matte liquid lipsticks and how it is the only lipstick i wear these days due to it being long-lasting, easy to apply, and very pigmented.

I have tried many liquid lipsticks from different brands and although i have my top favourites, stila definetly has my heart when it comes to liquid lipsticks as thier formula is one of the best! It never feels dry, is soo opaque with just one swipe so you dont need to layer on product. This is also one of the best long- lasting liquid lipsticks thier is on the market, as it wears well for a good 7-8 hours depending on if you are a messy eater or not.

So when i saw that stila is coming out with two Liquid lipstick sets i was so excited and knew this would be on my list!
The first is called 'The Eternal Love' which is a set of three liquid lipsticks, two are new Baci and Rico and Beso is from the permanent line.

The secound set is 'Eternally Yours' which is a set of six liquid lipsticks, two are brand new shades: caramello and chianti, and four are from the permanent line patina (best-seller) Aria, como and Fiery.

I was quite suprised to see patina in the set as it is thier best-seller and not to mention so hard to get hold of as it is always out of stock.

Lastly before we get on to more pictures and swatches i just wanted to add that i think these would make great christmas presents for someone who has never tried stila's liquid lipsticks before as you are getting permanent and new shades. whatsmore these sets work out considrebly cheaper than if you was to buy the full size lipsticks on thier own and let's face it who even goes through a full size lipstick anyway?! ...and you get the chance to try out alot of different shades... Bonus!

See swatches below, taken on bare skin in natural lighting. Very  pigmented!

Urban Decay Spectrum Palette

Hey guys!

So when i first laid eyes on the Urban Decay Spectrum palette i instantly knew i had to add this in to my collection, the beautiful shimmery, jewel tone colours were to die for and it was not untill i swatched them instore that i was blown away. These shadows are so amazing that i only had to dip my finger in once and the colour pay off was insane, not to mention incredibly soft, buttery and pigmented like crazy. Truly urban decay style they never fail to impress when it comes to thier eyeshadows, and i for one am a HUGE fan as these shadows are soo easy to work with and blend like a dream.

See below for pictures and swatches :)

Swatches taken on bare skin, no primer needed this is how opaque they are. Pictures also taken in natural lighting.
